I am sure not all experiences with Chegg are negative however, when reading the ones that are, it mimicked our experience. We ultimately returned the book (waiting for our refund) and purchased the book elsewhere. My daughter had a test and really needed this book. My threat being that I mentioned that some of our group of graduating students were aware of our experience and we did not want any of the other students to encounter the same hardship. So here we are with no book, we have to pay and take a trip to return the incorrect book (I was finally able to get them to send a return label) and even worse, I reached out to the owner and his response was, "despite your threat we will issue a refund". For some college students spending $200 with no merchandise in hand could be a financial hardship. I contacted them to confirm the cancel and stop the pending payment on three separate occasions. One month later (December 08), I had a declined charge from Chegg for the previously assumed canceled account. I canceled the account that day, or so I thought.

There would be no expedited shipment to receive the correct book, there would be no discount on a replacement book and our only option was to buy a new book with no refund or temporary credit until the incorrect book was received by Chegg. I signed up for a free trial (November 08) but was unimpressed after about 10 minutes. Three representatives all told us the same thing. We received the wrong book )not even the same subject) and tried to find resolution. My nursing school student ordered a book with two weeks of time before the book was actually needed. I am not a fan of writing negative reviews however if it is helpful to the community I believe it can be a positive. They still tried to charge my card twice more. Ha! It took me giving them a negative review to get them to care.

* update * after posting this review, I get a message from them thru trust pilot wanting to talk. I have finally conceded that they will never stop even though they all agree that the membership has been canceled so I have reported them to my cc company for fraudulent charges. this morning while working a 12 hour hospital shift, I received 3 alerts today that these slimy snakes tried to charge my card AGAIN!!!!!. So after another long long chat at 3 a.m.

When I asked why anyone would do something that stupid. I wound up locking the credit card to prevent the charge and kept calling, chatting, emailing chegg and getting zero help one "customer service representative " actually said " let us charge you and then ask for a refund". The next day and the next 22 days, they tried multiple times everyday to charge me. 10 months after canceling my subscription, I get a random CHEGG. I denied the charge, chatted with a " customer support "(ha) person and literally got the run around for 30 minutes. I used this site for a year and paid a monthly subscription fee, 10.55/month, which automatically came out of my bank account.
